I was laid off in March and just last night my husband and I decided that I would stay at home with our kids for as long as possible.
This is just one of the many changes that have come to our world recently. Somewhere between a world wide pandemic, bees of doom (which I think most people have forgotten about), and a rather large amount of family drama, my world barely resembles what it was in February.
There are a lot of uncertainties in the future right now. We don’t know what the school year will look like for my 6 year old and we don’t know what type of child are will be available in the up coming months. Many states are seeing a spike in COVID-19 cases since the recent holiday and the President has ordered hospitals bypass the CDC when reporting data regarding the Corona virus.
People have been referring to the “new normal” for months now and it has only recently sunk in exactly how long this “normal” may last. At some point we may even stop thinking of it have quotes around it.
I am just one mom. One in thousands of moms that have taken to blogging this year. This is just going to be me reaching out to the world, expressing whatever I need to express when I sit down to type. I have no expectations of this becoming one of those blogs that everyone knows about or ends up on the news. Because of that low expectation I truly appreciate the time you’ve taken to read this. Please feel free to comment and tell the universe, and me, about your new normal.
Best wishes and good health.
